SUSTAINABILITY

Além is committed to sustainability, not the political correctness of \"green practice,\" but the reality. We use alternative energy sources and renewable resources whenever possible. In fact, these are concepts that we literally live each day and which we endeavor to weave into every program we deliver.

More than sixty percent (60%) of the energy used to power our headquarters in Louisville, Colorado is derived from rooftop solar cells and the wind turbine standing in our parking lot. We are also a \"Zero Waste\" facility, which means that every piece of refuse is recycled, composted, or otherwise disposed of appropriately within the guidelines EcoCycle provides facilities of our size and nature. Similarly, we use recycled paper products whenever and wherever possible when planning, developing and executing our programs.

Additionally, Além carries the sustainability message into the heart of each program we manage. For example, at the March \'09 Sportaccord event held in Denver, Colorado, not only were the delegate bags created from recycled billboard and bicycle tube material, but we also fashioned tables from pine beetle kill wood harvested from Colorado\'s Front Range forests.
