Taylor Buzbee, Account Assistant
Taylor may be a recent graduate, but she has extensive experience in the sporting world. Growing up in Aspen, Colorado, Taylor enjoyed her time on the slopes and even competed as a Junior Olympian ski racer. When the snow melted, Taylor could be found on the soccer field, where she won “all-conference” honors three years running. In 2007, she won the Female Athlete of the Year Award at Aspen High School. At the University of Colorado, Taylor majored in International Affairs and minored in Russian Studies. As a Junior, she was able to combine her love of sports with her passion for international affairs in an honors thesis titled, “Formula 1 Goes Global: How the Pursuit of Economic Diversification Put Governments in the Driver’s Seat of Formula 1’s Business Expansion.” Her thesis, which was awarded the Latin honors designation of summa cum laude, was just the first of many awards she received during her 3 ½ years at the university. Taylor graduated “with distinction,” and was even recognized as the “Outstanding Graduate of the College of Arts & Sciences.” She is also a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society. Her success in college has lent itself to a number of interesting professional opportunities. During the summer of 2010, Taylor interned for Chip Ganassi Racing. While in Indianapolis, she worked in Accounts Management and gained experience in at track hospitality for IndyCar and Nascar events. She also had the opportunity to put her Russian skills to the test when she acted as Team Liaison for the Russian National Rugby team while they competed in the Churchill Cup. For Alem International, Taylor is currently working as an Account Assistant; gaining broad and valuable experience in in a vast array of organizational areas with a number of different clients including BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, VW, Yamaha, Rolls-Royce and Triple Bypass Bicycle Ride.
