Peter Bone, Drive Programs Manager
Managing the caravan in an Olympic Torch Relay is kind of like a three-dimensional chess game moving along at 10 mph where the pieces have minds of their own and none of them speak the same language. \"Oh, and it\'s the best job I ever had.\" Peter joined Além as a key member of the company\'s 1996 Olympic Torch Relay support team. He was caravan manager of the 84-day Relay and designed the daily movement pattern for all support personnel, including route evaluation, management of 60 team members and service of the vehicle fleet. Peter repeated these responsibilities as the Technical Manager for the Salt Lake 2002 and Athens 2004 Olympic Torch Relay. In addition, he has coordinated technical details and logistics for numerous Land Rover and BMW events including transportation and vehicle logistics for national business meetings, vehicles launches, winter driving schools and incentive trips.In addition, he coordinates the BMW Ride and Drive Programs in Latin and South America. These countries include Columbia, Peru, Panama, Chile, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Puerto Rico. He is also responsible for the fleet management of 250 BMW vehicles at the 3 major BMW PGA Golf Tournaments, The Barclays, The BMW Championship and The TOUR Championship.
